Accrual Balance Sync
New sync framework to facilitate importing of accrual balances from various sources. In this iteration, we’ve implemented specific APIs and on-demand flat-file (CSV) providers.
- Accrual Balance Sync from CGI Web Service – for National Bank and Desjardins Customers
- On-going sync to enable importing of accrual balances in hours 1
- Allows for updates in the payroll system to flow seamlessly to Synerion Agile system
- Ability to preview the balances before import
- Automatically recalculates the affected data
- Supports filtering by employee and export to Excel functionality

1 Balances must be in hours: Customers with dollar accruals will need to contact CGI to add the accruals in hours
- On-Demand Balance Upload via Excel CSV Files
- Used for 1-time and ad-hoc synchronization of balances to any other system
- CSV template provided to ensure the correct format of the import

Portal – User Manager – Ability to Assign Custom Security Roles
Allows custom roles to be managed within the portal (previously those roles were locked out)

- Supports custom Supervisor & ESS roles
- Supervisor roles are ones that include “WebLoginPermission”
- ESS roles are ones that include “ESSLoginPermission”
- Allows filtering by custom roles
California Break Enhancements
- Allows work rules to set breaks relative to the actual start rather than the scheduled start
- The “Relative To” checkbox has been converted to a drop-down list with 3 options:
- None Explicit break zones (12:00 means 12 noon)
- Sch. Start Break zones are relative to schedule start time (5:00 means, Sch Start + 5:00)
- Paid Start Break zones are relative to paid start (5:00 means, Paid Start + 5:00)
- The “Relative To” checkbox has been converted to a drop-down list with 3 options:
- New Excel Report – California Meal Penalty
- An easy way for payroll people to ensure that all California violations are caught, and the appropriate penalty has been added on the timecard
- Requires “California Meal Penalty Report” Feature (Turned-Off by Default)
Dashboard – Scheduled vs Budget Metric

- Shows individual bars for Scheduled and Actual instead of a stacked
- Enables schedule vs actual vs budget comparison for historical data
Employee Profile – Enhancements
Ability to Navigate Employees – Ability to navigate through selected employees (to go to the next employee in the selected range)
- Revised Employee Profile Tab order
- The screens have been reordered based on feedback and usage
- Styling & Layout Improvements
- Reduced spacing between labels and textboxes
- Consistent grid styling in Rates, Qualifications, Premiums, Training and Family Details
Absence Request Enhancements
- Employee Calendar – Managers Can Now Approve Absences from Employee Calendar
- Clicking on the Pending Absence in Calendar shows the Accept / Reject options with a note back to employee
Employee Calendar – Ability for Payroll Admins to Approve Pending Absences
- Allows payroll / system admins to approve pending absences on behalf of the supervisors
- Governed by new permission: “Employee Calendar Absence Request Approval”
Ability to Restrict Partial Absences Functionality to Certain Employees
- New question in Portal – ESS set-up to confirm whether a group of employees can request partial absences
- Assigns the new “Partial Absences-Edit” permission to the role
TCE Enhancements
- New “Edited” Records Filter Option
- Filters the Timecard records to only the ones that have been edited by the supervisor
- Set the Edited flag on the following additional use-cases:
- Supervisor authorizes extra time
- Supervisor overwrites the Work Rule/Shift
- Supervisor adds a new shiftmatch
- Original Punches – Show Clock Column

Period Signoff – Show Time Category Group (TCG) Filter

- Punch Errors – Mass Punch Recovery Fails When Both Badge and Employee Columns are Empty: Work Fine if Only Employee is Missing
- Performance of loading Employee Profile Page and Employee Scheduler – Add Schedule is too Slow
- ESS Dashboard – When employee is assigned to new pay period midweek and new period status not created yet is causing error when loading ESS dashboard
- Integration Partner – Saving any changes on the UI (after the fields are disabled) is not checking what fields are enabled to save
- Employee Scheduler – Scheduling Availability – Getting ‘Object reference…’ when there are multiple schedules and one of them starts at 0:00
