This page allows user to select different user roles and view their assigned and unassigned permissions. Along with viewing the permissions, user can also add, remove, or revoke the permissions. User can also create a new role and copy the existing role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Required permission<\/strong>: FeatureRoles and Permissions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hide\/Unhide System roles<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

User could hide or unhide the system roles. By default, toggle is on (which means system roles are hidden). User can view the system roles by turning the toggle off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Search Role<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If user wants to search for a particular role without scrolling through the list, user can use the \u201cSearch Role\u201d text field appearing next to \u201cHide System Roles\u201d toggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When user starts typing in the \u201csearch role\u201d text, it will filter the list based on the entered text. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Search Permission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If user wants to search for a particular permission without scrolling through the list, user can use the \u201cSearch Permission\u201d text field appearing above the permissions tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

View Assigned, Unassigned, Revoke, or All permissions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

User can view different type of permissions- assigned, unassigned, revoked, or all<\/strong>, by using the filter appearing above \u201cPermissions\u201d tab. To view different type of permissions, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Click on Admin page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click on Security page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click on Roles and Permissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Select a role user wants to view the permissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Once role is selected, on left panel, it will show the assigned permissions, having a checkmark, by default <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Click on the \u201cAssigned\u201d filter <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. A drop-down will appear, user can select any option based on the requirement (All, Assigned, Unassigned, or Revoked)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Once user selects an option from the filter, it will update the permissions list based on the selection.\n

    • If there is no permission available based on the selected type, it will show \u201cNothing to show\u201d message under permissions tab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Assign a Permission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      To assign a permission,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      1. Click on Admin page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Click on Security page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Click on Roles and Permissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Select a role user wants to view the permissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. Once role is selected, on left panel, it will show the assigned permissions, having a checkmark, by default <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      6. Click on the \u201cAssigned\u201d filter <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      7. Select \u201cUnassigned\u201d from the drop-down. It will list out all the unassigned permissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      8. Select the checkbox for a permission you want to assign<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      9. Once user selects the permission, it will enable the \u201cSave Changes\u201d and \u201cCancel\u201d button<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      10. To save the changes, click on \u201cSave Changes\u201d . It will show the success toast message \u201cPermission(s) saved successfully\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Unassign a Permission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        To unassign a permission,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        1. Click on Admin page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Click on Security page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Click on Roles and Permissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Select a role user wants to view the permissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. Once role is selected, on left panel, it will show the assigned permissions, having a checkmark, by default <\/li>\n\n\n\n
        6. Unselect<\/strong> the checkbox for a permission you want to unassign<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        7. Once user unselects the permissions, it will enable the \u201cSave Changes\u201d and \u201cCancel\u201d button<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        8. To save the changes, click on \u201cSave Changes\u201d. It will show the success toast message \u201cPermission(s) saved successfully\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Add a new Role<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          To add a new role,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          1. Click on Admin page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Click on Security page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Click on Roles and Permissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Click on button \u201cNew Role\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          5. Like Legacy, it will open the pop up<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          6. Enter the role name<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          7. To save the role, click on button \u201cAdd\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          8. Once role is added successfully, it will show a success toast message \u201cYou have successfully created a role\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Copy\/Delete\/Rename a Role<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            User can copy, delete, or rename a role by clicking on three dots (\u2026) under Actions tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Copy a Role<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

            1. Select a role user wants to copy<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Click on 3 dots (\u2026)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            3. Click on \u201cCopy Role\u201d option<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            4. It will open a pop up where user can enter a name for new copied role<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            5. Click on \u201cCopy\u201d to save the role<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            6. Once role is successfully copied, it will show success toast message \u201cYou have successfully copied a role\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Rename a Role<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
                \n
              1. Select a role user wants to copy<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              2. Click on 3 dots (\u2026)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              3. Click on \u201cRename Role\u201d option<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              4. It will open a pop up where user can enter a new name for an existing role<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              5. Click on \u201cRename\u201d to save new name<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              6. Once role is successfully renamed, it will show success toast message \u201cYou have successfully renamed a role\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                Delete a Role<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
                  \n
                1. Select a role user wants to Delete<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                2. Click on 3 dots (\u2026)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                3. Click on \u201cDelete\u201d option<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                4. It will show the confirmation dialog to delete a role<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                5. Click on button \u201cDelete\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                6. Once role is deleted successfully, it will show success toast message \u201cYou have successfully deleted the role\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
