July 2025 Release – Introducing SAI

Overview

SAI is an integrated artificial intelligence tool designed to help users quickly locate relevant documents and step-by-step instructions within a company’s knowledge base and manuals. It uses natural language understanding to provide precise guides along with links to additional materials.

Purpose

Finding the right document or instructional procedure can be time-consuming and inefficient. SAI solves this by:

  • Understanding plain language requests (“Show me how to pay a lunch deduction if my employee worked through lunch”).
  • Summarizing and guiding users through “how-to” processes directly within the application.
  • Locating the most relevant documentation from the Synerion Enterprise Knowledge Base

Benefits

  • Reduces search and training time.
  • Helps minimize errors by retrieving the most relevant, updated documents.
  • No advanced search syntax required.

Activating SAI

If you’d like to be among the first to try SAI, please reach out to the Synerion Enterprise Customer Care department to activate it once your system has been upgraded to the 5.25.7 release.

Once activated, SAI can be enabled or disabled at a profile level.  For the moment, it is not recommended to enable SAI on Employee Self-serve profiles.

Using SAI

You can access SAI in 2 ways:

  • Using the Chat icon at the top right of the screen (next to the user menu)
  • Using the Chat icon at the bottom right of the screen (this icon can be moved by dragging and dropping it)
