A missing punch is an error that occurs whenever an employee either forgets to punch or punches with an incorrect option (for example an OUT instead of an IN or vice versa). You should always have an even number of punches for the day, with pairs of INs and OUTs.

How to fix a missing punch

Step 1 – Select the row with the error and look at the punch window to determine which punch was missed.

Step 2 – Click the pencil to put the row in edit mode.

Step 3 – In the punch window, add the missing punch manually, then save.

Step 4 – If no other changes are needed, save the entire row to complete this action.
