When to use Copy Schedules vs Mass Copy

Copy Schedules is used when you want to copy the schedule of one employee to a different employee or group of employees. For example, if ten employees work the exact same schedule, you can create the week’s schedule for one employee, then use Copy Schedules to copy it to the other nine. Once competed, all ten will have same schedule.

Mass Copy is used to copy multiple employee’s schedules for themselves. For example, you have ten employees that each have different schedules. You create all ten employee schedules for one week. You can then use Mass Copy, to copy those schedules to the next week. Once completed, all ten will have their own same schedule copied to the next week.

Additional Information

When copying schedules with either function, think of it as using templates. Copy Schedules takes one employee’s schedule as a template, and then uses it for another, or many other employees. Mass Copy, uses each employee’s schedule as their own template, and copies it to another week or period of time. For more details see the help section on how to use each of these functions.
